COVID-19 Lockdown, Day 350
Let's talk about race. One thing Americans never seem to get tired of is talking about race and what is racist. For instance, it was not enough that the leftists want to ruin many childhood icons, like Sesame Street, Disney, Mr. Potato Head, and toy stores in particular. Now, their ravenous mouths water in the direction of Dr. Seuss. There has been a campaign started by our new president to remove Dr. Seuss books from the shelves. Why? Because the books are "racist." Seriously? So, Dr. Seuss is inappropriate, but King and King isn't? This is what America has come to, ladies and gentlemen. How many minorities actually campaigned against Dr. Seuss? {crickets chirping} Now, how many so-ashamed-to-be-White left-wing radicals are against Dr. Seuss? {marching, shouting, torches flaring} That's what I thought. Strike 2, Biden. Afraid to lose power of the mob, the fascists are attacking another icon of American culture. They never tire of trying to divide us further. On top of this, online companies have used African-American History Month to pander to my people to try to show that they care--but they only care about our money. GrubHub even offered free delivery for restaurants that are Black-owned.
For those who think liberals and leftists are incapable of being racist, you are dead wrong. I have had White people telling me how to vote and what to stand for as a Black man. Lately, you have White people trying to change the name of Latinos and Latinas to Latinx. Who the bloody hell are they to tell millions of people what they are to be called?! To me, that is no different than them calling Latinos (There, I said it! Call ACLU) "spics," "wetbacks," "beaners," and the like. The only Latinos who would call themselves Latinx are fascists like Ocasio-Cortez or someone trying to curry the favor of said fascists. Unless the majority of Latinos say they want to be called Latinx (and they won't), spare us your verbal gentrification.
The problem is, too many leftists want to treat us like perpetual children. Children who need feeding, sheltering, and consoling. And too many "entitled" brothers and sisters have been falling for it since the 1970s. You have men who sow their oats and never take responsibility. You have women who have so many children from so many men, and they use their children as bargaining chips to get as much welfare as possible so that they never have to work. To the leftist, this is kosher. Even us killing each other is kosher. But once someone not Black hurts us or we leave the Democratic plantation, all bets are off.
And now there is more talk about reparations. Please! None of us are slaves (except by choice), and none of our grandparents are even slaves. Besides, while most of us would make wise decisions with that money, too many would blow it. If we are to get reparations, they will need to check all of our histories and disqualify any of us with any ancestors who owned slaves, helped slaves get kidnapped, or betrayed a slave to the master. Before we get anything, reparations should go to Native Americans (except those with ancestors from the "Civilized Tribes" who owned slaves). Reparations would then take forever to distribute and would disqualify quite a people to make the venture a waste of time. The best thing the leftists can do for us is leave us alone. Give us land and autonomy. Tell us that, besides military support, we would be on our own once we set foot on the land. Then we will flourish as we have in Tulsa, Atlanta, and elsewhere.
But this cancel culture and special treatment only makes us more hated, and it creates more division. So, fascists, thank you, and screw you and the smartcar you rode in with. If you truly want to help us, you will keep your free-trade-pumpkin-spiced-soy-latte drinking, beyond-meat-eating, progress-flag waving, Banana-Republic wearing behinds far away from us!
Finally, I received a canned response to my letter from one of my senators, Tammy Duckworth.
Here is the response:
Dear Neighbor,
Thank you for contacting me about S. 393, the Equality Act. Although we may hold different views on this specific legislative proposal, I appreciate you taking the time to make me aware of your concerns on this important matter.
I am a strong supporter of civil rights and proud that Illinois is a leader in already prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity in employment, public accommodations and housing. It is absolutely unacceptable that an individual could be fired from their job or evicted from their home because of who they are or who they love. Sexual orientation and gender identity should not disqualify any American from receiving equal protection under the law and we must protect LGBTQ Americans from harmful discrimination.
This principle was affirmed by the Supreme Court of the United States, which in a 6 to 3 decision, ruled that the prohibition against employment discrimination on the basis of sex under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 includes sexual orientation and gender identity. Writing for the majority in Bostock v. Clayton County, Georgia, Associate Justice Neil Gorsuch, who was nominated by former President Donald Trump, noted in the opinion for the Court:
“Those who adopted the Civil Rights Act might not have anticipated their work would lead to this particular result. Likely, they weren’t thinking about many of the Act’s consequences that have become apparent over the years, including its prohibition against discrimination on the basis of motherhood or its ban on the sexual harassment of male employees. But the limits of the drafters’ imagination supply no reason to ignore the law’s demands. When the express terms of a statute give us one answer and extratextual considerations suggest another, it’s no contest. Only the written word is the law, and all persons are entitled to its benefit.”
As your Senator, I strongly support the civil rights protections authorized under the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and am working to uphold the principles laid out by Supreme Court’s decision in Bostock. That is why as an original cosponsor, I helped Senator Jeff Merkley of Oregon introduce the Equality Act. Our bill would clarify Federal law to explicitly spell out what is already true: Title VII prohibits employment discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. The U.S. House of Representatives passed the House version of the Equality Act on February 25, 2021, and the bill has yet to come before the Senate for a full vote.

Translation: I am going to vote in favor of the Equality Act whether you like it or not because your opinion does not matter. I have not yet heard from Richard Durbin. Still, you must still make your voice known. Write your letters and sign your petitions. They will only embarrass them if so many of their constituents are against the Equality Act. It will prove that they are not serving our interests. If this obscene bill passes, I expect the Supreme Court to immediately strike it down as unconstitutional. I definitely expect all rostered Catholics (and others) who voted for the bill to be excommunicated from their respective churches. I hope all of you are taking my pleas seriously. For the sake of our children. If you cannot vote, alert those who can. If you do nothing, your descendants will look on you with shame for your apathy or warped priorities.
I have not picked a name for the new blog yet. I am torn between The Freethinker and The Inquisitor. What do you think?
