COVID-19 Lockdown, Day 195

So, this has been quite an eventful week. First of all, a client had a medical procedure done, and she later found out that a staff person in the operating room had COVID-19, and she might have been infected. They had better pray that he is not infected. It has been over 10 days and she is showing no symptoms, but she has the right to sue for malpractice. Now her life is on whole. I know stuff happens, but don't people get tested anymore? In hospitals???

Speaking of COVID-19, our president and his wife have it. There have been people celebrating or laughing because of this. I know that he made mistakes and often does not use that muscle between his ears, but he is still the President. You think you can do better? Then why aren't you running. Some of these people celebrating will be in church worshipping tomorrow. We are not perfect, I know. No Christian is perfect. Still, at least try having a sliver of compassion for a serious illness. Just look at that outspoken pro-choice model, Chrissy Teigen. She gave a large sum of money to Planned Parenthood in the past year. And then, this week, she shared with the world that she had a stillbirth. Maybe I am wrong, but I don't see a coincidence here. I see God. A woman proudly gave money to an organization that murders innocent babies, and then her baby dies in her womb, and she mourns the loss. I'll admit; when I heard this, my first thought was "That's what she gets." But then, I felt that some compassion was in order, so I prayed for God to give her healing. When God chastens us, it really hurts. King David can attest to this. Perhaps like King David, Teigen can take the pain she is feeling to know the error of her ways. If so, God can use her to be a strong voice for the pro-life movement. Bringing this in context, maybe the President can use this illness to reflect on his life and his regime.

For those who still feel no compassion for the President or even his wife, shame on you! I hope you never find out what it feels like to be kicked when you are down--even though that may be the only way you will learn. Furthermore, if you cannot call him "the President," or if you cannot even admit to one thing he has done right (hell, even Hitler got one to two things right, and he was 20 times more lethal than the President can ever be), then kindly refrain from discussing politics with me--especially when it comes to him. I'm serious. If you will just repeat the dreck you hear on CNN or MSN, without getting the whole story or listening to both perspectives, and if you believe that butter would not melt in Biden's or Sanders' mouth, then save your breath. On the other hand, if you dislike Trump but can have an adult conversation , admit that both major parties have serious issues, and even admit that Trump may have done one or two things right, let's talk.

--Signing off.
