COVID-19 Lockdown, Day 230

The elections have come and gone. Though President Trump has not conceded, it seems that Biden has won. Again, no matter who wins, Americans in general have lost. The margin of winning between Trump and Biden are very small, but it seems that the few votes have gone to Biden. Still, I found it very interesting that, even in New York and California, less than 25% of the counties were blue; the rest were red. Hence, the small-towners and the rural were in favor of Trump. They represent roughly half of this nation, and even those who are against his policies did not want Biden to sink in. Instead of denigrating them, let that sink in. Try to learn why. We need another way to talking to each other. We need to get back to agreeing to disagree. There were self-righteous leftists who disowned their families and friends simply because they admitted voting for Trump. I still remember how that ratchet excuse for a mother kicked out her 8-year-old son because he voted for Trump in a school election. I remember how so-called "woke" people would call Black conservatives like Stacey Dash, Dr. Carson, Candace Owens, or Larry Elder "coons", which, by the way, is a White Supremacist word. They call them Uncle Tom's and Aunt Jemina's--again, not knowing the full story of either.

Someone told me that, as Illinois is a blue state, I don't belong here. Well, I am an American, and I live in a state that is still, technically, in America, so, I am going nowhere. Besides, once you take away the counties containing Chicago, Joliet, Aurora, Rockford, Springfield, and Champaign-Urbana, Illinois is a red state. As far as I am concerned, anyone who does not stand by the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, leftist or conservative, Republican or Democrat, does not belong in America. So there.

This attitude, that only one party holds the monopoly on virtue, must end now! This country is already divided; do we, God forbid, need another civil war? President-Elect Biden has has stated that he wants to help America heal and to unify it. I hope sincerely that he means it. We need such leadership now more than ever. At least the Republican-majority and the conservative-majority will keep him to task. No matter what you think of either party, we need both for the sake of freedom.

I have said it time and time again, if you supported Biden, don't gloat. If you supported Trump, go easy on the conspiracy theories and the rebellion threats. We need to stop being entitled, spoiled children, and start taking accountability. Who knows? Maybe it will take one more comment to throw us over the edge.

On to other news, it is almost the end of the year. Time for the question: should I continue my blog into the next year, or should I conclude it at year's end. Let's hear your thoughts.

--Signing off.
