COVID-19 Lockdown, Day 307

 First, as everyone has been asking, I am fine. The only side effect I have had to the vaccination is that my arm was sore for a few days. Nothing else, thankfully. I go for my second shot aka booster on February 2nd, and then I will be safe from this horrible virus. She-Sits-by-the-Fire discussed an interesting point with me. The first injection I received had the Pfizer vaccine. What if the booster is from Moderna? Will it have interactions of some sort? I will need to look this up. I have decided to keep doing this specific blog until 30 days after the vaccine becomes available to the public. 

This week has been very nauseating. Biden was inaugurated this Wednesday, along with Harris. He said that he would act as a centrist and that he wants there to be unity with all Americans. Then what does he do on the first day? He signs orders overturning everything the previous administration enacted--even a few good things. He overturned restrictions on the transgendered in the military, as well as with sports teams and public facilities--even washrooms and locker rooms. Plus, he even enacted a law that states that abortions would somehow be provided even if the Supreme Court overrules it. I am not a Catholic, but I wish American bishops would stand up to Cardinal Cupich and his boyfriend, Il Papa, and excommunicate Biden from the Roman Catholic Church. It is not enough to deny him Communion, since he will just talk about how he was treated, still refusing to repent of his sins. By him continuing to parade his Catholic identity around the world whilst acting contrarily to Catholic teachings and Scripture, he is making a mockery of Catholicism and even Christianity. 

 Then, this week, Biden signed an act to help people in the country illegally become citizens. Actually, I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, it is unsafe to give amnesty to those who deliberately enter this country illegally by the borders or as disappearing tourists. Who knows what type of person is being allowed to stay? It is also extremely unfair to those who did the paperwork and played the waiting game to come legally. On the other hand, the dreamers should be given some legal status. It is not their fault that their parents broke the law and brought them here as children. Some of them don't even speak the language of their mother countries. Then there are people like my best friend. She came legally under a work visa and was working at an agency that promised to help her get a green card. Then one day, when they found out she was a Muslim, this agency that thinks it is liberal fired her! Her chance of getting a green card was shot to hell because of their bigotry. I should mention that her workplace was nonprofit and secular. It took years before she could regain her legal status. She came here legally but had gotten screwed over, so people like her should be given the first shot at being citizens--especially considering her respect for this country and its people, as well her profoundly American work ethic. But I digress.   

On top of Biden's shenanigans, politicians and Big Tech are now working overtime to trample on the Bill of Rights, and Biden does nothing to stop this. In fact, he has threatened to severely restrict gun rights--a violation of the Second Amendment. Unity, indeed. All he is doing is justifying the fears of those who voted for Trump and/or against him. He had better pay attention, because if he tries to silence the conservatives and free-thinkers any more, the next building attack will be partially his fault. Unity, indeed. 

Alas. one extremist has been replaced with another.  

And can we talk about Kamala Harris? First of all, I wish Biden the greatest health and success during his regime, because if anything happens to him, Harris becomes President, and Pelosi becomes Vice President. (Can you hear my dry retching?) I am getting fed up with people calling her the first African-American female Vice-President. She is NOT African American, and neither is Obama. Maybe we need another positive thing to call ourselves, but she is half-Jamaican. You are African-American only if your ancestors were slaves in the United States from Western and Central Africa. She is not. We eat fried chicken and collard greens, but Jamaicans eat jerk chicken and cho-cho. We have Ebonics, she has Patois. I am sick and tired of these politicians and other people lumping us into one category because of our skin colors and the continent we are from. Who do they think they are to name us? These are the same fools who changed Latino/a to Latinx to please 0.5% of the population. Oy!  

As a Christian, I have been deeper in prayer this week than I have been for week because the current state of affairs really worries me. I admit that I have been worried not only for those who have been used as pawns in the political spectrum, such as the LGBT, the immigrants, and the African-Americans. I am worried about my fellow Christians and our future in this country. Especially since my taxes are being used for sinful things, such as abortions and sex changes. It has been hard for me, especially in Illinois, to not feel guilty that my hard-earned dollars being used for these atrocities. Then, a few people from a Christian discussion group assured me that I am not responsible for what is done with my tax dollars and that my responsibility is to "render unto Caesar." Still, what to expect from the current regime for the next 4 years really depresses me. It is no longer safe to agree to disagree. It is no longer safe to be a dissenter. It is no longer safe to be a free-thinker or a true intellect. Too many people want us to go along to get along and to at least pretend to agree. If we disagree, we are censored, blacklisted, harassed, and even accused of the offenses of others. If you are a conservative, Christian patriot, you are considered a threat to the regime, and you are persecuted. If you are a free-thinker, Jew, Muslim, or even a Devil's Advocate, you are next. This is a regime that is no longer interested in just your hide; it wants your soul too. What is happening to America? When politicians take the oath of office, are they just whistling Dixie? They vow to safeguard the Constitution, and then they trample on the rights and liberties it guarantees. What is happening to America? Children are taught the importance of the Bill of Rights in school, and they grow up wanting to nullify it--especially for those with who they disagree. People lose jobs, get doxed, harassed, threatened, and shunned, and social networks are shut down for frivolous reasons, and politicians like Ocasio-Cortez talk openly about wanting to punish Trump supporters. What is happening to America? What is happening to the land of the free? 

If you are a devout Christian with tradition beliefs and values who voted for Biden, I have one question for you: Why? You can tell me privately; I won't judge you. If you only watch CNN and the major networks, try Associated Press or even the BBC; they are less biased. If you did not know what Biden's full plans were, you must remember to scrutinize every aspect of a candidate's life--especially who their lobbyists are. In politics, unfortunately, the piper calls the tune. If your neighbors and relatives always vote Democrat, well, if they jumped off the Wacker bridge, would you follow suit? Besides, the Democrats from 1961-2000 are nothing like today's Democrats. The former fought for family values and welcomed dissention while the latter want to silence dissenters and corrupt family units. And, if you think that the Democrats truly care about minorities and oppressed groups, you are wrong. I am talking especially to my people. Democrats pretend to be our friend, but they don't want us to be free and independent. They want to breastfeed us with welfare, affirmative action, lies, and patronization. Just look in your golden boy, Obama. Take a typical low-income African-American neighborhood in 2009 and compare it to 2016. I guarantee you that it will practically be just as poor and violent. Change you can believe in. Negro, please. 

As for the new guy, President Biden (and yes, he is my president), I sincerely hope he will rethink many of his intentions and actions and truly do the right thing by ALL Americans. I hope he will keep (or recommit to keeping) his oath of office and put the PC police and Big Tech in their place. I also pray that Harris and Pelosi will do likewise.

Otherwise, I pray that God will bless and keep them and their foot soldiers--far away from me!
