COVID-19 Lockdown, Day 286
Happy New Year!
If you are like me, you are only pleased to see 2020 go. I have decided to continue doing this blog until I am eligible to receive the vaccine. The day I receive it will be the day of my final post. Because of my medical conditions, I know I am likely to be eligible for the next batch. By spring, God-willing, this nightmare will be over. I can't wait for the day when I can walk into a public building without a mask, when everything is open, and I no longer will hear of someone getting sick or dying.
So, it seems that, for the only time he was in office, President Trump's veto of the COVID-19 relief package was overturned by Congress. They actually agreed on something. The package guarantees $600 per person in each household whilst the President wanted the amount to be $2000 per person per household. I am sure that I must have missed a detail or two, but that is the gist of it. The President's veto actually reminds me of the shrewd manager. A manager who is about to be fired reduced the debts of his boss' debtors so that they could take care of him when he is out of a job. Maybe I am off base, but oh well. It's my understanding that someone already received their stimulus check. That's surprisingly quick.
I hope each of you are blessed with a happy, peaceful, and healthy year. Thank you for reading!
--Signing off.
